About Us

HumanKind is a Virginia nonprofit, founded in 1903, that helps families build stability and overcome barriers to financial opportunity. Through a connected set of wraparound services, HumanKind supports individuals and families at the moments that matter most.

Through relationship lending, in partnership with HumanKind Lending, we help individuals access reliable transportation and build credit. In addition to loan assistance, program participants receive additional supportive services including life skills, financial resources, and credit education. Our clients not only get a loan, but also ongoing support including vehicle maintenance guidance.
